This show has far too much cuteness for it's own good. To an untrained eye this would send the ordinary person into diabetic shock. A magical girl show about nothing.If it wasn't for the bitter ending, it might make this show too sweet.

This one is light and harmless. Personally, I found the pace to be a bit slow for my taste, and I'm usually okay with a slower pace. The characters as they were introduced all seem to have one defining character trait each (upbeat, shy, lazy, proper, and carefree) to define each of the five of them. It did have surprising twist in the middle when what seemed to be targeted at little girls suddenly turned violent, but I don't think that was enough to save it. In some ways, the twist made a bit of a mess of the show, since it could have been a slow slice of life. I guess this might be interesting to some people, but I found myself gettng drowsy watching it.

The storybook art and cuteness is the episode's biggest strength, but having watched ahead, it's a bit of a slow burn for the main plot reveal. The slice of life aspects of the academy/order are pretty chill, and the currency system is rather unique. The eyes are well done, but overall the character art and animation feels a bit too simple (and brightly lit) for the background scenes they're working with, and nom-human creatures are even more basic.
