Vanishing Line
In a prosperous city named Russell City, an omen that threatens to shake its world begins to move within it. A man named Sword is the first to hear the first stirrings of the plot, and throws himself into a shadow war in order to expose it. His only clue is the key word "El Dorado." He meets Sophie, a woman searching for her missing older brother who has only left her with the same words: "El Dorado." With Sword having also lost his younger sister in the past, both are drawn together by the words, and work together to find out its meaning.

Explosive first episode of fighting demonic monsters and sexist comments. A kid in search for Eldorado but everything that glitters is not gold. Garo maybe one of the last macho man animes but no end to action (or violence) in this show.

So, there is a lot of familiar elements here. There is a badass brute riding a motorbike with a big sword (like FF7), who is a serial womanizer. He has some kind of living armour that he can deploy (Guyver) and his sidekick lives on his left hand (Vampire Hunter D). To be honest, this kept reminding me of so many other things, it felt like it had no identity of its own. It is a decent enough action show, with some good animation and grotesque monster designs, but I don't think this is the kind of thing I would want to watch again.

Bangin intro tune. Good detail and shading. Action and body horror. Trying very hard for style points in the action scenes. Monster-of-the-week meets mystery location? Hidden treasure? Hmm.

Garo: Vanishing Line is a very good anime. The action sequences are top-notched, the characters are likable (both good and bad), the plot is quite simple yet executed flawlessly. There are various instances of funny and serious moments throughout the show but they are not conflicting with one another; in fact, they compliment one another really well. The music choices in this show is excellent. Both the OP and ED are very memorable.
All in all, I recommend this anime to anyone over 18 years old and want to hve a good time watching. I give this show 10/10.

Story and characterisation are mediocre, but some hot action and the urban horror atmosphere more than make up for it.
