Youichi's life at university is going just fine. He isn't having any trouble with his classes, he has plenty of friends, and even a cute girlfriend named Minami. Then the day comes where he meets Misaki. Misaki is a reserved, stand offish fellow but for some reason, Youichi can't seem to get him out of his mind. In fact, he can't seem to stay away. When he lands a job working in the lab with Misaki, it seems more than just the flowers are about to bloom. But will they recognize their emotions for what they are, and have the courage to accept it?
La vie de Youichi à l'université se passe très bien. Il n'a aucun problème avec ses cours, il a beaucoup d'amis et même une jolie petite amie nommée Minami. Puis vient le jour où il rencontre Misaki. Misaki est un garçon réservé et distant, mais pour une raison quelconque, Youichi n'arrive pas à le sortir de son esprit. En fait, il semble incapable de rester à l'écart. Lorsqu'il décroche un emploi dans le laboratoire avec Misaki, il semble que plus que les fleurs soient sur le point de fleurir. Mais reconnaîtront-ils leurs émotions pour ce qu'elles sont et auront-ils le courage de l'accepter ?

As a massive fan of Takarai Rihito’s works, I knew I had to check this one out. Although I find Seven Days, and 10 Count to be better, I am still pleased with Hana no Mizo Shiru overall. I just felt that something was missing that I can’t quite put my finger on; I will however be reading both the prequel and sequel series next, and hope that those will fill in that missing gap. All in all, I enjoyed the manga. I just think that if you are new to Takarai Rihito that you should see the aforementioned books before trying this one in order to get a full taste of what her writing has to offer.
