Reviews

Michael Eh?

I got this book during Free Comic Book Day 2009 because I wanted to try out one of these light novels from Japan. I just can't put this book down even though I finished it less than a week after FCBD. Better than Ghost Hunt which is also based on a light novel. The pairing is somewhat like Hayate the Combat Bulter meets Shinku from Rozen Maiden set in Europe in the same time as Baccano! The story is somewhat like Baccano with the past and the present stories running in parallel once aboard the ghost ship. Mystery, revenge, murder and pint-size doll-like detective with Japanese exchange student in tow. Damn you, Tokyopop for putting a teaser for the second novel. The way things are now, I wonder if we'll ever see it.

Suddenly, Victorique jumped to her feet. "Kujo! Dance for me."

"Huh?"

"Don't just sit there, Stand up and dance!"

"Why?"

Victorique nodded, as if there could be only one explaination. "Because I'm bored."

I feel the same way ... waiting for the chaos of the next novel to relieve my boredom.
