Teppen!!!
Sakamoto Yayoi, a diehard fan of comedians and comedy acts, enrolls in the private Kazuki High School in Nanba (Osaka's entertainment district famous as the starting point for many comedians). She reunites with Takahashi Yomogi, a childhood friend who once formed the comedy duo "Konamonzu" with her when they were little. Before long, they find themselves putting together a routine at a park like they did before, in order to enter a local shopping area's contest. At that moment, a mysterious girl calls out to them.
Sakamoto Yayoi, un fan inconditionnel des comédiens et des comédies, s'inscrit au lycée privé Kazuki de Nanba (le quartier des divertissements d'Osaka, célèbre comme point de départ de nombreux comédiens). Elle retrouve Takahashi Yomogi, un ami d'enfance qui a déjà formé le duo comique "Konamonzu" avec elle quand ils étaient petits. Avant longtemps, ils se retrouvent à mettre en place une routine dans un parc comme ils le faisaient auparavant, afin de participer au concours d'une zone commerciale locale. A ce moment, une mystérieuse jeune fille les interpelle.

Just plain anarchy in far too many player to count. Just too bizarre to make sense of. It is almost on Pop Team Epic level but that is taking it too far.

Did I miss the set up to this show, or is it starting in medias res at full throttle (Edit: it did.)? If one hadn't read the blurb for the show, you'd have no understanding of why all these people are being introduced until near the end of the episode. Character art and use of themes for their distinguishing features is excellent, though the line art for the hair is a bit inconsistent. The camera work is decent enough, but it can't hide how much the episode is trying to save on overall animation costs. There's quite a bit of panning/zoom shots on held frames, or scenes where it's just a moving mouth. It's banking hard on the writing and scene composition. To compare it to a skit show like Kids in the Hall, or SCTV/SNL would not be out of line I think.
