Lucky Star

Having fun in school, doing together homework, cooking and eating, playing videogames, watching anime. All those little things make up the daily life of the anime- and chocolate-loving Izumi Konata and her friends which is portrayed here. Sometimes relaxing but more than often simply funny!

Notes

Genre: Comedy, School
Based on a 4-koma manga by Yoshimizu Kagami, serialised in Comptiq.

Heekun

A great show, oronic, self referencial and aware of the whole otaku/anime culture. Catchy opening. This season's hare hare kai.

humanbean

i enjoyed this a lot. a show about nothing. very seinfield.

Michael Eh?

With all the fan hoopla about this show I was disappointed finally sitting down and seeing the first episode. It seem to be going nowhere. The only real good parts are the opening and Lucky Channel which may well prove to be the only comedy in this show. I can only hope that the DVD has a skip over option.
Michael Eh? runs off ducking as fans start throwing pastries.

So far, having watched up to episode 19, I find this series to be amusing. Like humanbean mentioned, it's a show about nothing. Still, to me, this show is like a tasty little snack. Though it refers to many anime & manga, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is most often referred to. In some cases, Lucky Channel is even funnier: Akira's surly attitude and Minoru in general is hilarious.
