Toshihiko Tanaka is a boy who entered Kakegawa High School with his friends Kenji & Kazuhiro, in order to play soccer with Yoshiharu Kubo, a great soccer player whom they have idolized. While his other two friends were reluctant to play again, Toshi with the help from Kazumi Endo eventually convinces them to play for the soccer club. The team soon find themselves in the midst of a quest to the All-Japan High School Championship, while overcoming obstacles along the way.

Toshihiko Tanaka est un garçon qui est entré au lycée Kakegawa avec ses amis Kenji et Kazuhiro, afin de jouer au football avec Yoshiharu Kubo, un grand footballeur qu'ils ont idolâtré. Alors que ses deux autres amis hésitaient à rejouer, Toshi, avec l'aide de Kazumi Endo, les convainc finalement de jouer pour le club de football. L'équipe se retrouve bientôt au milieu d'une quête pour le championnat All-Japan High School, tout en surmontant les obstacles en cours de route.
