Yomi no Tsugai
In a remote mountain village under the watchful eyes of two stone guardians, the young Yuru contentedly lives off the land while staying close to the only family he has left, Asa, his precious twin sister. Asa, meanwhile, carries out a mysterious “duty” on behalf of the village while locked in a cage. Why is Asa a prisoner? And what other secrets does Yuru's otherwise idyllic home hide?
Dans un village de montagne isolé, sous l'œil vigilant de deux gardiens de pierre, le jeune Yuru vit paisiblement en harmonie avec la nature, auprès de sa seule famille restante, Asa, sa précieuse sœur jumelle. The characters really stand out from the backgrounds. Good starting premise of a Shangri-La that's remained hidden from the modern (fantasy) world for centuries. Bit mysterious with unexplained characters and motives. I think it'll be a fun watch.

Mystery! Action! Supernatural weirdness! Modern and ancient mooks shooting guns, bows, and whatever! I've got high hopes for this one.

A Shamalyan movie, but turned into anime.
And like the Shamalyan movie, that twist was not too tough to see coming.
I have no idea what the endgame is for everyone, but then I'm not rally all that invested.
Maybe I will watch a little further and see.

Must admit, this has more plot twists and turns, I've seen of any anime I've watched and this is just the first episode. Pretty good start.
