Megumi no Daigo
Asahina Daigo, a young man fresh out of school and inaugurated into Company "Me," a firefighting unit in an area known for its lack of fires (which gives Company "Me" a slacker image). Daigo is not particularly heroic; he's overly competitive against his rivals, naive, myopic, inexperienced, short-tempered, and is often off in la-la land with a spaced-out expression on his face.
Asahina Daigo, un jeune homme fraîchement sorti de l'école et inauguré dans Company "Me", une unité de lutte contre les incendies dans une région connue pour son absence d'incendies (ce qui donne à Company "Me" une image de fainéant). Daigo n'est pas particulièrement héroïque ; il est trop compétitif contre ses rivaux, naïf, myope, inexpérimenté, colérique, et est souvent parti dans la terre la-la avec une expression espacée sur son visage.

As for dramas go, this is top notch but the time travel to the past makes this less interesting. Nice follow up to Fight fighter Daigo.

The show is established as a serious rescue drama, with some possibility for a romantic triangle -- not much to say about it beyond that.
