Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai

Mitsuyoshi Tada, a boy who has never known love, is taking pictures of the cherry blossoms in full bloom when he meets Teresa Wagner, a transfer student from Luxembourg. Upon arriving in Japan, she got lost, separated from her travel companion. Mitsuyoshi helps her and brings her to his grandfather's coffee shop.

Maybe Tada-kun can't get a girl is because all the noisy losers he hangs around with. Colourful cast of characters that just doesn't mesh for me.

This is a bit of a bait-and-switch, since the rest of the series will apparently take place in a high school. Still, the characterisation in this pilot is sufficiently fresh and engaging for my enjoyment, despite the lack of anything like an original plot.
