Deaimon
Nagomu Irino returns to his Kyoto home for the first time in ten years when his father is hospitalized. Nagomu is eager to take over Ryokushou, the family's Japanese sweet shop, but he's instead asked to be a father figure to Itsuka Yukihira, the girl everyone calls the successor.

It was hard to see where this show was going at first. Two misfits. It seems to be a good slice of life but maybe too slow for my taste, no matter how sweet the premise might be. Still it has some appeal in learning Japanese sweets.

This is a good start to a slice of life anime. There are some typical cliches, but at the same time, they do manage to put an interesting spin on it. Slice of life stories have been done before, especially with a young man suddenly having to be a father figure to a young girl. But the first episode did make me chuckle a few times, and did manage to establish some reason to care about the characters, so I wouldn't mind seeing more.
