Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra
In the story of the light novels, all the dead people of the world have been turned into "books" stored in the Bantorra library. A boy named Koria Tonisu has had his memories erased and his chest embedded with a bomb. He is sent to kill Hamyuttsu Meseta, the world's most powerful armed librarian. However, he falls in love at first sight with this beautiful woman in charge of the "books," and he gets enveloped in the great war over the library.

The premise is original, but I'd brave to see more episodes to say it's really interesting. On the other hand the Librarians are sufficiently complex and the evil church is sufficiently creepy that I would definitely watch more of the series, to see how the conflict plays out.

First episodes of alternative fantasy world stories usually spend most of their time trying to set the setting of the series. Others series jump right in,leaving the viewer clueless of what is going on. Armed Librarians does a good job of balancing both explainating the world physics and enough action without the trappings of other series. Still it feels like the lull before all hell breaks loose.
Still a great job of bringing the elements together and still laeve some mystery for the viewer to figure out. Not to mention the subtile fan service of beautifully built women but also the fact men and women respect them for their position of guardians of books of souls.
