Gundam SEED Destiny
Cosmic Era (C.E.) 70, the "Bloody Valentine" tragedy escalated into a war between the Earth Alliance and ZAFT. It became severe. Making many sacrifices, they achieved a truce after the second battle at Yakin Due. However, this truce didn`t subdue the conflicts between Naturals and Coordinators completely.
During the war, Shinn Asuka was involved in Earth Alliance`s intrusion into Orb. While he was escaping from the fire, he lost his parents and little sister before his very eyes. When he was deep in sorrow gripping his sister`s cellular phone, which is his only memento of her, a gundam, which was the principal cause of the war, was flying over his head. Being disappointed, he left Orb and went to PLANT.
In C.E. 73., he became a ZAFT soldier.

Adapted into the manga, Gundam SEED Destiny.
"Interesting way to continue a series, aside from the marketing ploy of having the Gundam in multiple parts. I think that the story could be worse, at least they didn't destroy the series that this spawned from ... yet."
"Basically the same style as all other Gundam series. However it does continue Gundam SEED well. I would recommend it to any giant robot fan."
"Well ... it's Gundam! Enough said."
"There are 2 naked chicks in the intro but otherwise just like Gundam SEED."
"giant robots are all well and good but does it make sense militarily to have one that is launched separately components and assemble during the middle of a battle?"
"I've never cared much for Gundam SEED. It was too hard to keep track of the characters, especially since there seem to be good guys on both sides. Also, it really hard to get into a grim storyline that features those ridiculous looking mobile suits."

"It's Gundam Seed ... Again! Sheez!"
"Hmm, more Gundam Seed. Well, I guess it would seem more appealing if I had seen more that the last seven episodes of Gundam Seed. Oh well, it won't discourage me from watching."
"A complete rip of the last series right down from plot lines to even the same opening song done by the same group. A series that is TOO MUCH alike the previous one except the mecha are different sides with more techno-gadgetry than the last. More YTV fodder."
Year Reviewed: 2005
We started to watch this on the heels of finishing Gundam SEED. After only 6 episodes, members tired of it because it was Gundam SEED again only with more annoying and less loved characters.
